As a community mental health nurse working for a not-for profit organisation you will assess and talk to patients about their problems and discussing the best way to plan and deliver their care; build relationships with patients to encourage trust, while listening to and interpreting their needs and concerns; ensure the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitoring the results of treatment. You will also be able to work with children when required.
As a mental health nurse you will ideally hold AHPRA registration as a Div1 Nurse general nurse and a post graduate qualification within Mental Health. You will be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team. You will be able to work with clients with a range of complex mental health issues including dual diagnosis. You will also possess 100 points of ID, Valid National Police Check (less than 2 years old), 2 + years (minimum) experience working within mental health, a valid NSW working with children check, full working rights in Australia, and 2 current referees details.
